Following extensive consultation with its customers, Investors in People UK have developed a new and more flexible way of working. As a result, "Investors in People New Choices" will provide more in-depth, tailored support on the issues most relevant to the organisation.
The new approach can be tailored to an organisation's unique needs and priorities, and means that IIP can now be focused directly on chosen business issues.
WMQC was selected by Investors in People UK to run an extensive pilot for the new working practice in the summer of 2008. We found that 89% of organisations felt the approach enabled them to be flexible around the needs of their organisation.
The New Choices way is set to be launched in May 2009.

WMQC provides support and advice, training workshops and pre- and post-assessment services for a range of ISO standards.
One of these standards is ISO 14001 - an international standard that specifies a process for controlling and improving an organisation's environmental performance.
The putting in place of an effective Environmental Management System is particularly popular in the modern day 'green' climate that we operate in. WMQC can help organisations address the delicate balance between maintaining profitability, whilst simultaneously reducing environmental impact.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development is predicting Easter may signify that the worst of the current cuts in levels of employment is over.
Its research has pointed to the fact that job trends in the UK followed those in the US by a few months, and currently the number of American firms planning to cut jobs has fallen from one in three to one in five.
CIPD's Gerwyn Davies expects a similar change in Britain, but also warns that whilst the trough may been reached, further jobs cuts are still inevitable before the employment market improves as a whole.
